It's divided into two markets. The National Market System (NMS) shares are quoted in many financial newspapers and major general circulation newspapers. There is the Small Capital (Small Cap) Market. To list your company on the Small Cap Market, you must have assets of $4 million, net worth of $2 million, Bid price of $3.00+, a float over 100,000 shares, seven market makers, and over 500 shareholders. Usually, the first stock exchange beyond the OTC/Bulletin Board Market is NASDAQ. Companies with smaller asset size not qualifying for listing on the large exchanges would have their securities quoted on NASDAQ.
